At Farinelli's, we enjoy our reading. If the book is bound in a hard cover leather jacket that smells of rich mahogany, we enjoy it even more.
Although the following book recommendation only comes in a paperback variety, the content is enough for us to make it required reading...
Come close, so we can tell you a secret: America is the best damn country in the world, and if you don't like it, you can geeeeeeettt out! All excessive nationalism aside, America is a pretty badass country. We invented the cheeseburger, for shit's sake. Wait... Did we invent the cheeseburger? I don't know, but I'm saying we did, and because we gave the world the cheeseburger, you, as an American, need to walk around with a self-endowed sense of entitlement. They owe us.
Now that you're pumped up and loving the U.S. of A, go out and pick up United States of Americana and consider it a handbook to the old school true (red, white) and blue American way. Learn about everything from knitting to straight razor shaving. Of course, this is a fashion-related blog, so it would be foolish of me to not mention the fact that the book explores the roots of American workwear.
